Adelaide United are an Australian football club which plays in the A-League. The are the sole team which represents South Australia. Adelaide are one of the most successful clubs in the league as they have won the league once and were runners-up twice. They have also been in the Grand Final twice without success. The club play their home games at Hindmarsh Stadium which holds 17,00 people. The club were formed in 2003 to fill the place vacated by Adelaide City in the former National Soccer League.

Adelaide United first won the premiership in the 2005-2006 season as they finished seven points clear of the rest of the competition. They came 3rd in the semi-finals. The club hold the record for the biggest win in the league with an 8-1 thrashing against now defunct side North Queensland Fury. They are one of three teams to have survived from the National Soccer League including Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory.

The club have had several kit suppliers in the past decade including Reebok, Errea, Legea and Kappa. The club's previous kit sponsors include Veolia, Unleash Solar, Coopers Brewery, Modern Solar, Sakai, Blanco and many more.
