Born in Torrent, Valencian Community, Alcacer started playing competitive football for established local academy Valencia and showed at his young age a capability of scoring a number of goals through a sense of composure in front of goal alongside possessing gifted technique. Alcacer developed through the Valencia youth ranks, catching the eye of senior coaches, and progressed into the reserve team aged just 17. In three seasons with Valencia's reserve team, Alcacer regularly stole the headlines through his star performances of which saw the player return 42 goals from 62 appearances.
After impressing the Valencia first team manager, Alcacer was quickly promoted to the La Liga squad and made his debut by coming on as a sub against Real Sociadad. Since making his first appearance, the small in stature yet big in impact striker has become Valencia's main goal scoring threat and is now one of the hottest transfer targets in Europe.
With Alcacer impressing on a national level within Valencia's domestic competitions, attention was gained on an international level which saw the player called up to make his debut against France by Manager Vicente del Bosque.
