Algeria 2020 Kits

Algeria are in the CAF (Africa). The Algerian National team was formed in 1958 but a rebel team played its first game in 1957 it won 2-1 against Tunisia.

Algeria has played at 2 world cups 1982 and 1986 finishing in the 1st round on both occasions. Algeria was won the African Cup of Nations(1990) and has made 13 appearances at the tournament, African youth championships(1979) and the gold medal at the All African Games(1978). The team plays at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 which has a capacity of 66000. Is colours are white and green.

Its biggest win was 15-1 against Soth Yemen in 1973 and biggest defeat 5-0 against East Germany in 1976. Its current captain is Yazid Mansouri, current coach is Rabah Saadane, Most capped player is Mahieddine Meftah (107)and top scorer Rabah Madjer (40). Its current world ranking is 100.

CAF side Algeria recently played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup where they played in Group C which contained United States, England and Slovenia. The nations kits consist of an all white design with green trim and their away shirt is usually green in colour. The nation won their first and only Africa Cup of Nations in 1990 where they also hosted the tournament.

World Cup Kits

Algeria are entering their fourth World Cup where they have kept the exact same shirt on all occasions. The 1982 display saw green detailing across half of the shirt and in 1986 a more simplistic design was deployed. Both the 80's shirts featured the text 'Arabic' on the front of the shirts.

Algeria's next World Cup was in 2010 where green was minimised adding a traditional collar used on previous kits. The new home display for the 2014 World Cup sees their iconic white colour stamped as the main colour while green is included as the trim on the sleeve hems and rounded collar. The new Algeria away kit sees the same template introduced where green is the main colour and white is used as trim on the rounded collar and sleeve hems. A new rounded crest is seen on the right side of the home and away shirts which represents the nation’s flag.

Algeria's traditional footballing kit is all white with light green detailing. Supplied by Puma the only variation besides the red of the sponsors' logo are green and red circles around the back of the collar.

The most memorable Algeria World Cup shirt must be the one worn at the 1982 tournament where the green and white split design remains an icon for many Algerian football fans.

With Puma taking over recent shirts Algeria have also used the likes of Le Coq Sportif, Umbro and many more kit suppliers in their history.

With white being the primary colour the Desert Foxes are one of few teams around the globe to use green as their secondary colour. As of late, Algeria have used much more simplistic designs featuring more white and less green.
