Al Hilal officially named Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club are a Saudi Arabian club based in the country's capital Riyadh. The club are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia and Sia as they have won the league title 53 times and six Asian Championship titles. They have a reputation for being the most widely supported club in Saudi Arabia.
The club play their home games in the King Fahd Stadium which holds 67,000 people. Notable players include Edmilson, Roberto Rivelino and Yousuf Al-Thunayan. The club were originally called Olympic Club and the name was changed in 1958. The club are nicknamed 'Al-Zaeem' for their leading position in Saudi Arabian club football.
The club's official colours are blue and white. The home shirts features a blue colour with a signature diagonal white stripe across the body. The club also share the King Fahd Stadium with current champions Al Shabab and Al Nassr.
The club's name was changed on 3 December 1958 by decree from the then-King Saud after he attended a tournament that was contested between the Olympic Club, Al-Shabab, Al-Riyadh and El-Kawkab clubs.
