Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund wear yellow home shirts with black shorts and yellow socks which are manufactured by Puma and sponsored by 1&1. The away kit for Borussia Dortmund is black with yellow accents. The club play at Westfalenstadion or Signal Iduna Park containing over 80,000. They have been very successful at the beginning of the past decade, winning the Bundesliga title in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

Borussia Dortmund Home Kit

Borussia Dortmund were founded in 1909 where their name was taken from nearby Borussia brewery in Dortmund. The club's first ever home shirts were blue and white striped with a red sash and black shorts. The club first saw their trademark yellow home shirt in 1913.

2022/23 Borussia Dortmund Home Shirt

Borussia Dortmund excited its fans when it ran a striped home shirt for the 2022/23 season. Applying the same bright 'Cyber Yellow' used in its past home kits with Puma, the jersey highlighted the four black stripes on the front side. The two central ones were shorter, but all were interrupted to give way to the sponsor logo. Furthermore, the said design elements housed a subtle geometric pattern based on the Wildschütz, the legendary restaurant where the club was founded in 1909. The striped look, on the other hand, was influenced by the 2012/13 UCL home shirt.

2021/22 Borussia Dortmund Home Shirt

Borussia Dortmund continues with its traditional black and yellow colours on the pitch for their 2021/22 home kit. In contrast to the solid fill look of the front body, the sleeves sport a striped pattern, while the backside displays a broad panel within the shoulder seam. Below the said panel is the 'DORTMUND' branding, making it clear which team this shirt represents. The design of the v-neck shirt loosely takes inspiration from the home kit worn by the club during their victory against Juventus in the 1997 UCL finals.

2020/21 Borussia Dortmund Home Shirt

Borussia Dortmund's 2020-2021 home kit has now been publicised, and the kit certainly reflects the club's tradition by maintaining BVB's iconic colour combo of yellow and black (officially termed cyber yellow and Puma black). Specifically, the shirt displays multiple black thunder-like prints that blend perfectly with its yellow base. The print is said to be inspired by the metro station 'Westfalenhalle'-the closest station to the Signal Iduna Park stadium.

The station is always a key reference point when travelling to Signal Iduna Park and it houses the star that leads to the home of Die Schwarzgelben fans. Due to a change in sponsorship, the 1 & 1 logo now appears on the front centre, with the golden Puma cat and the full-coloured BVB crest on the right and left chest the only logos appearing on the front. A black and white Opel logo appears on the left sleeve, while additional black Puma cats are added on the shoulders. The shirt is combined with black shorts and yellow socks to complete the home team wear.

Men's Borussia Dortmund Shirt

The club's crest is one of the most recognised in Germany and the world as it features the 'BVB' text above the '09' establishment date. The crest boasts a yellow base with black trim on the border and text.

Borussia Dortmund is the first, and so far only club in Germany to be publicly traded. They started wearing the familiar yellow and black getup in 1913.

Ballspiel-Verein Borussia 1909 e.V. Dortmund, better known as Borussia Dortmund and often shortened to BVB were formed in December 1909 by a group of young men that were dissatisfied with the Trinity Youth, a Catholic-church sponsored football. Borussia is Latin for Prussia, but at that time was mainly taken from the nearby Borussia brewery.

Borussia Dortmund have won several major pieces of silverware in their history including several Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and DFB-Supercup titles as well as winning the 1996-97 UEFA Champions League. Some of today's known Dortmund players are Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Marco Reus, and Mats Hummel.
