Blackpool 2018 Shirts

Blackpool were formed in 1877, the club play at 11,295 capacity Bloomfield Road in Lancashire. They are known as the Tangerines (from their bright orange shirts) or the sea-siders due to their location on the North West of England's coast.

Blackpool's finest moment was winning the 1953 FA Cup final in a come from behind victory inspired by their famous player Sir Stanley Matthews. Other trophies collected by Blackpool include the Division Two championship in 1930, the Anglo-Italian cup in 1971 and the Football League Trophy in both 2002 & 2004.

The most goals scored in a season by a player wearing a Blackpool shirt was 45 by Jimmy Hampson and the player who pulled on Blackpool's trademark orange shirt the most times was Jimmy Armfield with 568 club appearance.

Blackpool currently play in the Championship after recently playing the Premier League in the 2010-11 season where they became the first ever team in English football to have won promotion from every division of the Football League via the play-off system. Nicknamed the 'Seasiders', Blackpool wear tangerine shirts with white shorts first seen in the 1920s and the shirts are manufactured by Fila and sponsored by Wonga who have sponsored them for three seasons. Blackpool's away shirt is white with tangerine shorts and the third shirt is the 125th anniversary special kit which is navy blue to commemorate one of their first ever shirts back in the late 19th century.
