The pattern alternated between a stripe with solid outlines and two stripes comprised of little diagonal ones that faded toward the centre. The jersey featured a tonal zebra striping available only to this specific uniform. Both the sleeve cuffs and v-collar with front overlap took the colour of the darker shade of the blue base.

 

 

2020/21 Birmingham City Home Shirt

Using the Nike Trophy IV template, the shirt had a subtle triangular jacquard print on the front body, a polo collar, and side body panels that had the same colour as the sleeves. The sleeves had a regular cut on the front and raglan-style one on the back. The shirt reflected the traditional colours of Birmingham with its blue body and white collar and sleeves. A white SADLER’S PEAKY BLINDER branding appeared at the back of the shirt around the lower edge.

An abstract mix of checkered and cross graphics, underpinned by diagonal gradients, filled the torso, leaving the sleeves plain. Navy accented the jersey through the sleeve cuffs, round collar, and the abovementioned visual design.

The style of the sleeves was raglan, while the neckline was round. A low collar formed at the back and sides of the neckline. The front of the body displayed the sponsors’ white logos and branding, though the Birmingham crest retained its official colours. Sadler’s combination mark sat on the bottom of the backside.

 

 

Birmingham City’s home strip is a blue shirt leading to their nickname of the blues, their away strip is black. In the 1970s Birmingham had an away strip which comprised of a large yellow stripe down the front of the shirt, one sleeve and a third of the shirt black, with the rest red, it made them look as though they had the Belgian flag wrapped around them.

Birmingham City nicknamed the ‘Blues’ were formed in 1875 and originally called Small Heath Alliance, which was shortened to Small Heath in 1888, in 1905 the name was changed to the current Birmingham. Birmingham play their home games at St Andrews. Birmingham City have a heated rivalry with Aston Villa who share the same city as the Blues.

The most expensive player to wear the blue of Birmingham is Emile Heskey bought from Liverpool in May 2004 for £6,250,000. Birmingham also have the proud record of having the first female Managing Director in the football league.
