Santi Cazorla Gonzalez was born on the 13th of December in Llanera, Spain. He began his footballing career at Villarreal where he joined the club when he was 17. He made his debut for the side on the 30th of November 2003 in a league match against Deportivo da La Coruna. He signed for Recreativo de Huelva in 2006 signing a four year deal and he currently plays for English club Arsenal.
He played 34 matches for the club scoring five goals. He moved back to his first professional club Villarreal in 2007. He stayed at the club for four seasons before moving to Malaga. He played 127 league matches scoring 23 goals for the club. On the 26th of July 2011 he signed for the newly owned Malaga CF. He signed for a fee of Ã¢â€šÂ¬21 million. He scored on his debut n the 28th of August 2011 in a match that ended 1-2 to Sevilla. He played just one season at the club. he played 38 matches scoring nine goals.
He signed for Arsenal on the 7th of August 2012. He made his debut for the club on the 18th of August 2012 in a 0-0 home draw against Sunderland. He scored his goal for the club in a 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
In 2004 he played for the Spanish U-21 side where he played seven matches for his nation. He made his senior debut on the 31st of May 2008 in a 2-1 friendly win over Peru. On the 19th of November 2008 he scored his first goal for Spain in a 3-0 win over Chile. He helped the nation win the UEFA EURO 2008 & 2012 as well as the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
