Chelsea are known to have eccentric third kits and in recent seasons Nike have opted for unique colours, including the bluish green 2018/19 third and the blue-crimson combo of 2020/21.
2021/22 Chelsea Third Shirt
Chelsea's Nike third kit for 2021/22 features a shirt that combines black and teal to produce an abstract all-over graphic with a smudged effect. The dark colour aura of the base provides a contrast to the hyper crimson accents of the logos and the vertical side panels of the body. The round collar follows the template construction of the other Nike kits for the season, going for a two-piece construction with side overlaps. The rear of the collar is of the same orange shade as the colour accent, while the front applies the black tone from the base.

The wait for Chelsea's third kit is over as the club's alternate uniform is now released. The kit is inspired by Umbro's Chelsea kit during the 1996-1997 season and is heavy with stripes and gradient designs. The red and blue colours, on the other hand, are inspired by the classic Nike Air Max sneakers as well as the 1980 change shirts. The upper half of the body panel is filled out with alternating bands of blue and light, almost pinkish, red. The upper half design gradually transitions to that light red colour in full that dominates the bottom half of the shirt. The sleeves feature the same red colour but transitions to blue past the shoulder points.
All logos are white, and the other colour applications of the Chelsea badge have been changed to white as well. The blue v-neck collar seemingly and seamlessly connects to the shoulders and stripes. Completing the third kit setup are red shorts and blue socks.
