Coleraine are a Northern Irish football club and they play their home matches wearing blue and white striped shirts with their away kit usually having red colour scheme. Coleraine is one of the most successful clubs, outside of the 'Belfast's Big Two' of Linfield and Glentoran, having won the Irish League title once (in 1973–74) and the Irish Cup on five occasions, most recently in 2002–03.
Coleraine FC was founded in June 1927 at a meeting in the local Orange Hall. The club was formed out of a merger between two local sides, Coleraine Olympic and Coleraine Alexandra. The original club colours were all white, hence the club's original nickname - "The Lilywhites".
