‘The Sky Blues’ known as Coventry City play in the Championship. They usually wear an all sky blue kit, which currently are being manufactured by Hummel and sponsored by BoyleSports. The club were relegated to League One in the 2011/12 season after they finished 23rd in the league. At the start of the 2013/14 season Coventry City had no kit sponsor as the club went into administration in 2013. They last won a piece of major silverware in the 1986/87 season, winning the FA Cup.

Coventry City put up a combination of designs for their 2023/24 Hummel home shirt. What was immediately observable was the white and sky blue vertical striping pattern that had offset navy borders. Beyond that, what really induced viewers in giving the shirt a second look was the silhouette graphic that looked random and abstract. In reality, they were silhouettes of a castle, elephant head, rising phoenix and eagle head, all symbols that comprised the Coventry crest. An embossed detailing of the said symbols signed below the collar at the backside, which was plain and simply the opposite of the activity on the front side.

Coventry City Home 2022/23 KitCoventry’s 2022/23 Hummel home shirt was known for bringing back the Admiral tramline design popular in the 1970s. The tramlines included the pattern from the stained-glass windows of the Coventry Cathedral, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of its consecration. A half-and-half striping visual in blue and navy on the sleeve cuffs and the edge of the classic round collar complete the overall look.

Founded in 1883 the club were known as Singers, changing the name to Coventry City in 1898 and moving into Highfield Road. In 2005 Coventry moved to a purpose built 32,000 capacity stadium called the Ricoh Arena, after having played at their previous ground for over 100 years.

Coventry won their only major trophy the FA Cup in 1987, with a surprise 3-2 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley after extra time. The sky blues were founder members of the Premier League in 1992, but in 2001 were relegated ending 34 years of top flight football for the club.
