Denmark or ‘De Rod-Hvide’ are a national football team who play in UEFA and have been one of the best teams in Scandinavia in recent decades. Manufactured by Hummel, Denmark kit is usually a red home shirt and a white away, which reflects their national flag. Denmark has gone back and forth with adidas and Hummel for their kit supplier, before settling back with the latter in 2018. With their return to Hummel, the red Danish home kit has seen the return of the brand’s trademark chevrons on the shoulders and sleeves.
The Euro 2020 Danish home kit carves a name for itself among all the nation’s home shirts by applying a unique soundwave design meant to represent the thousands of supporters singing the national anthem.
2022 Denmark Home Shirt
Denmark’s 2022 World Cup Hummel home kit was monochromatic, featuring tonal shades for the base, the logos and the striped pattern that covered the sleeves and extended a bit to the sides of the body. The said design was clearly based on the looks of the jersey worn by the squad in the 1992 Euro finals. Back then, the winning shirt, also produced by Hummel, featured a combination of white sleeves and a red body, with the now famous striping pattern applied in red.
2020 Denmark Home Shirt
The Denmark 2020 home kit had a red body panel and white raglan sleeves with red cuffs. The shirt featured a tonal soundwave graphic, which took inspiration from the singing of fans in support of the national team. A strip of blue trim went along the seam on both sides towards the neckline. With Hummel as the kit manufacturer, the jersey displayed chevrons, which were red in this case, pointed towards their respective directions along the raglan sleeves. Both the Hummel and team logos were white.
Denmark Away Kits
White has always been synonymous to Denmark’s away kits. And the Euro 2020 kit continues the tradition, applying minimal red accents for the logos and the Hummel chevrons.
Aside from the chevrons, the Euro 2020 Danish away kit share the same raglan-styled sleeves as that of the home kit. It also has the soundwave graphic, but modified it slightly by tilting the orientation to a slanting one.
2022 Denmark Away Shirt
Denmark’s 2022 World Cup Hummel away kit featured the template as the home, only in white. It meant that the shirt was also monochromatic and had that exact tonal striping pattern along the sleeves to commemorate the nation’s unexpected Euro championship win in 1992.
2020 Denmark Away Shirt
Denmark’s 2021 away kit shared the same features as its home counterpart. Hummel was also the kit manufacturer of the said shirt, and as such red chevrons popped up on the white raglan sleeves with red cuffs. The small strips of blue trim also appeared along the seams on either side towards the neckline. In contrast to the home shirt, the away kit had a white body panel, red logos, and slanted graphics.
Denmark play their home games in strip comprising of red shirts, white shorts and red socks. They have been a competitive side in international football since the mid 1980s, their red shirts appearing in the World Cup of 1986 for the first time, when they surprised the world by winning their group, including a 6-1 thrashing of Uruguay. In the second round, they came back to earth getting knocked out by Spain 5-1. Denmark were surprise winners of the European Championships in 1992, coming in to replace war torn Yugoslavia in the competition and winning the final against Germany 2-0.
The Danish national football team played their first international against England in Copenhagen, Denmark on the 5th May 1910 winning 2-1. They play their home games in the 38000 capacity Parken stadium. The current roster features several well known players including Kasper Schmeichel, Christian Eriksen, and Andreas Christensen.
