Lucas Digne is a French footballer who plays for French giants Paris Saint-Germain and the France national football team. Playing as a left back or left midfielder Digne is one of France's brightest youth prospects.
Born on the 20th of July 1993 Digne began his club career at Lille signing his first professional contract in June 2013. Ahead of the 2011Ã¢â‚¬â€œ12 season, Digne was promoted to the senior team permanently and assigned the number 3 shirt. He made his professional debut on 26 October 2011 in a 3Ã¢â‚¬â€œ1 victory over Sedan in the Coupe de la Ligue.
On 17 July 2013, Digne signed a five-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain, on a fee believed to be around Ã¢â€šÂ¬15 million. Digne would form a unique partnership with the likes of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Alex and was seen as a replacement for Maxwell.
Digne is a French youth international and has represented his nation at the U16, U17, and U18 levels. For the French Under-20 national team he won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2013. Digne looks set to be a key player for club and country in future seasons.
