Dinamo Zagreb is a large and successful club from Croatia, based in the Croatian capital city, founded in 1945. Although the team is very powerful on the domestic level, it has not matured enough to be considered a power in European football, losing most matches in the Champions League 3rd qualifying round by a large aggregate against European super-clubs Milan, Arsenal, Werder Bremen and Dynamo Kyiv. The team had a relative success this year when it managed to reach the group stage of UEFA Cup after knocking out tie-favourites Ajax Amsterdam.

They have been crowned Yugoslav Champions 4 times, won the Croatian League (after the separation of the Yugoslavian states) 10 times, and the Cup on eight occasions. These honours speak for themselves. Dinamo Zagreb play their home games in 39000-capacity Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.

The club have had several kit suppliers in their history including Umbro, Lotto, adidas, Diadora and Puma. The club play the Eternal Derby against Hajduk Split and former rivalries was against Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade.
