The Exeter Chiefs, who currently play their home games at the 10,744 seater Sandy Park, compete in the Aviva Premiership, having earned promotion to the top tier in 2010.
The Chiefs’ home kit is predominantly black with white highlights, while their away strip is white with light blue features. Their logo is a stylized Native American Chief, and home fans can be heard chanting the ‘Tomahawk Chop’ to the accompaniment of drums.
In their long history the Exeter-based side have enjoyed some notable moments, not the least of which was a clash against the touring All Blacks in 1905, played at their former home, the County Ground, and attracting a crowd of 6,000.
As they look to cement their spot in the top tier of the English competition their squad continues to develop depth and strength, with seasoned campaigners like former Wallaby Dean Mumm adding vital experience. Other key members of their current squad include Argentinian representatives Gonzalo Camacho and Ignacio Mieres, England’s own Tom Johnson and veteran New Zealand-born centre Jason Shoemark.
