Juventus draws inspiration from its home in Allianz Stadium to give us a progressive adidas home shirt for the 2022/23 season. The Allianz witnessing countless magical football moments since Juve’s move from theStadio delle Alpi in 2011. The Bianconeri’s classic black and white stripes are reimagined with a new graphic included that adidas say is to represent the magic of Allianz stadium.
Adidas Senior Designer Marco Omiccioli mentioned the following about the shirt: Juventus is a club famed for its traditions, but also for being bold and progressive. With this kit, we wanted to pay respect to the proud history of the club whilst bringing a new and unique element that unites the club’s community with a subtle reference to its home.”
From vest-like bands, half-and-half design, and brushstrokes, Juventus now gives its black stripes more activity and dynamism by composing them with lines of repeating micro-triangular patterns, inspired by the famous architecture found in the Allianz Stadium in Turin. But more than the home stadium itself, the triangles are borne out of the glorious football produced by the club’s winning tradition, with the star and its sides chosen to symbolise these magical events. Elegantly completing the featured design are the other black details like the sleeve cuffs, round collar, and templated adidas shoulder stripes.
Sponsor Jeep have an electric look to their logo on the shirt, which is also seen on the green goalkeepers jersey and could well appear on upcoming away and third kits from adidas for Juve too.
