Bayern Munich Unveil 2023/24 adidas Home Kit
When it comes to Bayern Munich, we think of players wearing predominantly red shirts for their home games. Count the upcoming primary shirt out now as the club unveil their 2023/24 adidas home kit. With the next season’s primary jersey out in the open, it’s easy to see that the Bundesliga giants have rejigged the colour dynamic. But it’s not just a random rethinking of the outfit’s colours. The move has its historical basis that could help the perennial champions to maintain, or even better, whatever they have achieved so far.
The 2023/24 adidas home shirt of Bayern Munich combines a white-based body panel with red raglan sleeves. Things get reversed when it comes to the accent colours, meaning that the monochrome logos appear in red while the template shoulder stripes and sleeve cuffs are in white. The sleeve cuffs, in particular, exhibit an embossed lettering of ‘FC BAYERN MUNCHEN.’ The subtle yet essential detail of the shirt rests inside the collar, which features the message ‘Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang” – translated to ‘red & white for life.’
Moving to the white with red has its roots with Bayern’s kits in the ’60s, particularly in 1965 when they played their first-ever season in Germany’s top-flight. It’s a nice throwback to your roots and beginnings, especially when you’re already in a place of football dominance.
