Burrda to manufacture Kuwait kits
For those of you who have never heard of Burrda, we can understand you. Neither have we! They are a very new company based in Switzerland specialising to design and manufacture sports apparel and equipment. In a market dominated by Adidas and Nike, one understands that it is difficult for newcomers who enter the market, due to the large costs on advertising. This company is starting off by having Eastern countries and clubs on board, before making a realistic approach into European football. Countries in this part of the world are not short of cash, due to their blessing of crude oil. Burrda is already the sponsor of Qatar.
Now, Kuwait have become the second country sponsored by these newcomers. Owned by Pilatus Sports Management located in Geneva, the brand will now manufacture the kits of the Kuwaiti national team. The ceremony was held in Muscat, capital city of Kuwait, just before the Arab Gulf Cup 2009. Burrda will supply the team with match shirts, training shirts and travel clothes. Both Pilatus and the Kuwait Football Association had words of praise for the new 3-year agreement:
“Pilatus is extremely proud to be announced as the new Official Kit Provider for the Kuwaiti national team which is one of the Arabian Gulf’s premier football teams. To form an alliance with such an important national identity is a great milestone for our sports apparel brand, BURRDA. Both management teams are dedicated to forging a strong relationship. Supporters of the Kuwait National Football Team will have the opportunity to purchase authentic merchandise and products when they are made available to the market in the coming months†– Charles Diab, General Manager of Pilatus
“Our commitment with BURRDA has a long term vision, we are fortunate to associate our team with this sport brand given its freshness in the marketplace, its quality and its international standard. We are looking forward to expanding further our relationship with BURRDA in the future†– Sheikh Ahmad Al Sabah, President of Kuwait Football Association

Originally from Malta and I love football. I appreciate the opportunity that this website gave me to start my career in football journalism. I’m a Man Utd fan and England supporter, and I watch football games mainly from England, Germany and Spain. I love to be informed about everything that is happening in the world of football.

You really hit the nail on the head with this post. There are darn few blogs other than sports, football, or cycling that I even bother to read.
