RWC 2011 Canada Rugby World Cup Shirts

Canada stand at 14th in the IRB rankings and have been to every World Cup to date. However apart from 1991 when they reached the play-offs, they have never managed to get out of the pool stages. 2007 in France they had a poor campaign without a win in the pools stages and just a draw against Japan. For the 2011 competition in New Zealand they are pitched against hot favourites in New Zealand and powerful France in Pool ‘A’ which also has Tonga and Japan teams they will hope to compete with and beat, this makes it a very tough pool.

The 2011 Canadian World Cup shirts are manufactured by KooGa and are traditional red and white for the home, whilst the alternate is black and red.

The new shirts carry the KooGa logo from under the front of the collar. The right chest carries an embroidered IRB Rugby World Cup 2011 logo and the Canadian crest logo is embroidered on the left. The flag of Canada is on the left sleeve. Embossed into the body  Canada’s national emblem the Maple leaf.

Canada play their first game on the 14th September  at Northland Events Centre, Whangarei against Tonga. This will be a tough test and a win  will set the tone for their tournament. They will also be targeting a win against Japan which would see them finish third in the pool.
