Celtic 2017/18 New Balance Home Shirt
New Balance and Celtic unveil their sublime home shirt for next season which uses the club’s history as the forefront of design.
With the upcoming 2017/18 season marking the 50th anniversary since Celtic famously lifted the 1967 European Cup, New Balance have used that specific kit as inspiration for their newest strip.
Of course, the overall design sees Celtic’s iconic green and white hoops wrap the shirt and sleeves for a flawless look whilst gold trim caps off a stunning display.
As announced by the club, the new Celtic kit is inspired by Celtic’s greatest ever side, the one that won the European Cup in 1967 and is since known as the Lisbon Lions. Therefore, the Celtic 2017-18 home kit features the traditional green and white hoops in the most traditional, no-nonsense way possible.
The Celtic side which won the 1967 European Cup are to this day regarded as the club’s greatest ever, labelled as the Lisbon Lions, which features above the crest on the left chest panel.
