England to Wear Special Warm Shirts in 150th-Anniversary Heritage Match

It might just be a friendly when England face Scotland on September 12, 2023, but matches between the two are always clouded in history as the two nations were the participants of the first-ever international match in history. And as Scotland has already unveiled their 150th-anniversary kit to pay tribute to the historic match in the upcoming match, so do the Three Lions as they reveal their limited-edition warmup kits to celebrate their share of history in the event.

Back in 1872, Scotland wore navy blue kits and England had white. So it’s no surprise that England’s commemorative warmup shirts are mostly white. Even the Swoosh of technical sponsor Nike and the corporate livery of principal sponsor EE haave a tonal white application to subscribe to the thematic colour. However, the anniversary prematch outfit has a dark blue application of the crest, which was the original Three Lions badge, and the year 1872 underlining the classic England football logo.

The shirt is not available for retail, but instead is subject to auction here in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
