LDU Quito 2014 Umbro Home and Away Kits
Ecuadorian club LDU Quito have officially released their new home and away kits for the 2014 season.
Supplied by English brand Umbro, the new home shirt features the club’s traditional white home colour along with red trim on the collar and sleeve hems. The 2014 Umbro shirts use new classic football shirt polo-collared designs and they also feature pronounced sleeve cuffs reminiscent of old school kits.
The home kit was first worn in match action for the first time in a 3-0 friendly win over Colombian team América de Cali the finish the Noche Blanca festivities. The club’s new away kit features an elegant red colour along with white trim on the collar and sleeve hems and the shorts and socks are both white like the home display.
The team currently features Ecuador national team players including goalkeeper Alexander DomÃnguez and midfielder Luis Saritama.
That collar is awful. A pity to see what Umbro has degenerated into..
Awful collar and it seems that the players themselves can’t quite get the hang of it either. Too high, too tight and shapeless… Can’t quite understand the sponsor’s position either, especially Chevrolet. This being said, the away shirt is decent enough.
Nothing wrong with that collar, it was used on loads of Umbro shirts in the late 90’s.
