Leaked: Brazil 2010/12 Blue Away Shirt for World Cup

Leaked pictures show what will probably be the new Brazil away shirt for the upcoming World Cup to be held in South Africa. The national team of Brazil remains the only one to have participated in all editions of the World Cup, and they have won 5 editions, finished runners-up in two editions, finished third twice, and fourth once. The array of talent and experience available to head coach Dunga for the upcoming summer tournament makes Brazil one of the favourites to lift the World Cup. Brazil won the CONMEBOL qualification group for the World Cup with 9 wins, 7 ties, and 2 losses, and their trip to South Africa was booked in style, after a 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Argentina on the 5th September 2009. Brazil are currently ranked 2nd in the latest (February 2010) FIFA rankings, behind European Champions Spain. Their group for the 2010 event may prove to be tricky, with matches against North Korea, Ivory Coast, and Portugal.

The new away shirt is manufactured by Nike. We expect it to be officially unveiled in the coming weeks as the World Cup edges closer. The new shirt has a blue base colour and uses Dri-FIT technology to keep players dry and comfortable during matches. The leaked shirt shows a yellow collar, and a yellow stripe on each shoulder. The Nike Swoosh will be yellow, and the shirt will have yellow dots on the blue background on the front. The sleeves, back and sides will be plain blue, and there will be the text ‘BRASIL’ at the back of the neck on a yellow background. The new Brazil shirt, just like most of the other nations’ shirts, will be available to buy from our partners Kitbag through our website.

  1. Kalle, good idea for boca juniors shirt only missing the big stripe in the middle. Anyway it is easy that that will probably be the Brazil training shirt.

  2. I disagree with most of you…so many of this year’s world cup kits are dull (including Brazil home), I’m delighted to see something a bit different on the change shirt.

  3. Anyone saying that England should use Nike instead of Umbro should look at this monstrocity. This shirt is the worst at the World Cup, but I’m sure there will be some people saying that this is the best shirt ever just because it Brazil.

  4. both of the “leaked” brazil shirts look so much like the ones they wore at the 1998 world cup in france, surely brazil aren’t using england’s idea of using shirts connected to past glories to try and recapture them?
