Getting ready to play away from Old Trafford this season, Manchester United unveils its 2022/23 adidas away shirt in the middle of its preseason tour. The design and colour theme takes inspiration from the white strips of 1986/88, 1991, and 1996/97. The jersey is the club’s first white shirt since the 2016/17 third kit. With a new manager and a new season, the Red Devils are hoping that the shirt can become synonymous with success like its past iconic white outfits.

The primary colour white gets accents from the three red-black-red shoulder stripes and the black v collar and sleeve cuffs. Additionally, the collar and the sleeve cuffs hold repeating patterns of alternating red and white narrow diamonds. This follows the trend of the season’s major adidas shirts having flashy retro designs on their collar. A jaquard graphic applies helix visuals all-over the shirt in a subtle tonal manner.
