Mexico: Club de Futbol Monterrey Home and Away Kits 2010/11

Club de Futbol Monterrey is a Mexican club playing in the top division. It is the oldest club from the North of Mexico to be playing in the Primera Division. Traditionally, their shirts are striped, which has earned them the nickname Rayados, which means the striped ones. Monterrey have won the top division 3 times with the latest being the Apertura 2009 title, the 1991 Copa Mexico, and the CONCACAF Cup Winners Cup 1993, amongst others.

The club has unveiled the new home and away strips for the 2010/11 season. The new shirts of the club are manufactured by US-based sporstwear brand Nike and sponsored by Bimbo and Casas Javer. The home shirt has navy blue sleeves with white hems, and the body is vertically striped in navy blue and white. The front part of the collar is white, with the back being dark blue. The away shirt has a white base colour with dark blue sleeve hems and collar. There is a zig-zag stripe detail on the chest with dark blue and light-blue colours. Zig-zags are being used a lot in Nike-designed shirts this season. Dark blue home shorts with orange side stripes and dark blue home socks complete the new home kit, whereas white away shorts and socks complete Monterrey’s new away kit.
