New Owners Influence on Magpie Kits

Thanks to @Retro_NUFC, we now have a preview of Newcastle’s set of uniforms for the 2022/23 season. The kits are produced by Castore and the first group of jerseys under new Saudi owners (the away shirt in particular gives off some vibes of the Saudi national football team). No sponsor logo appears on the outfits based on the shared images, and no news yet if there would be one eventually. Rumours abound that Saudia, formerly known as Saudi Arabia Airlines, could become the next sponsor of Newcastle United. Fun88’s ties with the club are certain to end given the betting bans implemented in the Middle Eastern country.

Newcastle United 2022/23 Home

The Newcastle United 2022/23 home from Castore introduces the traditional black and white stripes in a classy uninterrupted look. The design elements cover the shirt from end to end, reaching the neckline and touching the sleeve cuffs and hemline. A single central striping goes around the sleeve cuffs and round collar to complete the overall look.

Newcastle United 2022/23 Away

The imprint of new Saudi owners Public Investment Fund shows up on Newcastle’s Castore 2022/23 away. A plain light grey (almost white) base fills the entirety of the shirt, accented in turn by green detailing on the sleeve cuffs, v-collar, and monochrome logos. Due to the colourway, Newcastle’s secondary outfit for the season resembles the Nike 2020 Home kit of Saudi Arabia.

Newcastle United 2022/23 Third

The 2022/23 Castore third of Newcastle United features a shirt with a dark blue base with gold accents. Predominantly showcasing the primary colour, the secondary detailing appears on the sleeve cuffs and neckline inner panel. The fading trailblazing graphic on the edge of the sleeves and the monochrome logos contributed to the gold accents of the jersey.
