Official: Argentina Home & Away Shirts 2011

Following the leaked pictures we had brought you yesterday about the new Argentina home and away shirts, now we have the official pictures which the South American team will use during the 2011 Copa America.

The new home shirt features light blue and white stripes whilst the sleeves are light blue. The trademark Adidas 3-stripes are featured on the shoulders with the Argentinian FA crest placed on the top left part of the chest on a black background with gold detail.

The away shirt has a dark blue base colour.  The sleeve hems are light-blue with a slight touch of white. There are three horizontal stripes on the body. The upper part of the chest features a wide horizontal light blue which fades into a darker shade of blue, whilst just below it there is a thinner white horizontal band, and further below this there is an even thinner blue horizontal blue band.

  1. Argentina should not wear black socks.

Bottom of the sleeves on the home kit isn’t great and I prefer thinner stripes but I do like the collar!

  2. Like ’em both, but hope Argentina don’t try and mix them, as they often do. Those black shorts and socks will look ridiculous with the navy shirt.

Also, why do Argentina keep displaying black socks at the presentations and then wear white ones at the actual matches? Couldn’t care one way or the other, but it’s odd.

Black ones look cooler, but white ones are better for finding passes.

  3. The away reminds me of Germanys home kit template from Euro 2008. I do like both though, I prefer home. However, their world cup shirts were better.

  4. the shorts are fine, they need so swap the sock. very strange that the home has black socks.

  5. The away one is VERY nice, hints of France away with the lined French flag (sort of)
