Hamburger Sport-Verein, more commonly known as Hamburg or abbreviated as HSV, is a German club participating in the Bundesliga. After finishing 15th in the 2011/12 Bundesliga table, the team looks set to finish in a respectable top-half position in the 2012/13 campaign. HSV are 7th with 48 points out of 33 matches, with one match left to wrap up the campaign.
The new kit of HSV was launched by the club and shirt supplier Adidas. The shirt marks the club’s 50th anniversary playing consecutively in the top division in Germany, the Bundesliga. HSV can be proud to say that they are the only team to have played for 50 years uninterrupted in the top flight. The new kit will be used for the first time in the match against Leverkusen on the 18th May. The shirt has a white base colour with a blue collar, partly blue sleeve hems with white edges, and blue Adidas trademark stripes. The sponsor logo of Fly Emirates is red, while that of Adidas is blue. There is the text ’50 Jahre Bundesliga – Nur der HSV’ [translation: 50 Years Bundesliga – Only HSV] appearing on the cuffs.
