Official: PSV Eindhoven 2015-16 Umbro Home & Away Kits
Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven have officially launched their first ever home and away kits supplied by Umbro.
Announcing a new five-year kit deal with Umbro back in February this year, Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven have revealed a classic red and white stripe home shirt for the 15-16 season. Three red stripes and five white stripes are featured on the shirt with the stripes just seen on teh front with a solidd white back.
A traditional styled buttoned black collar has been used with white piping while Philips again sponsors the shirts. Red sleeves are featured while the home kit is completed with black shorts and hooped red and white socks. The home goalkeeper’s kit is entirely green with additional white trim.
The all new away shirt for PSV uses a two-tone navy and dark blue hooped design with additional red trim on the shoulder panels and sides of the shorts. The hoops are just featured on the front of the shirt with the sleeves using the navy blue colour. The kit is completed with navy shorts and socks with white and red trim.
Home kit reminds me of the Sheffield United 94-95 home, also by Umbro. It’s the collar and sleeves. While I think the Umbro logos should have been in gold to match, it’s still a pretty clean kit. Away… just looks like any old generic away kit, but it’s nice to see Umbro incorporate the home colours into the design. We need more away kits with the home colours in!
Get better pics for the away kit. I’ve seen them floating around. Anyway, both kits are fantastic. The home has a throwback feel, seems to recall the 90’s with that black collar. The away, on the other hand, is quite modern but still tasteful.
Great kits by Umbro yet again
Home kit – fine and tradional
Away – different, but why pink?
I am not at all sure about the pattern on the away kit, but the home kit is the best PSV has had in over a decade.
As a Sheff U fan, I’m so envious of the home kit.
Loving the home kit, J’taime Umbro <3
