Palmeiras 2014 adidas Centenary Home Kit

Brazilian outfit Palmeiras have officially released their new home kit for the 2014 season.

Supplied by adidas, the new home kit features the club’s traditional green colour along with gold trim on the signature adidas stripes to commemorate the club’s anniversary. Palmeiras 100th Anniversary logo is heat stamped on the front of the shirt between the club badge and adidas logo which includes the text “Campeão do Século” meaning Champion of the Century and “100 Anos” meaning 100 Years.

Eight-time Brazilian champions Palmeiras are back in the Série A for the 2014 season after spending last year in Série B. The club will also celebrate its 100th anniversary in September. An arc in the colours of the Italian nation flag appears on the outside upper back of the kit in recognition of the fact that the club was founded by Italian immigrants to Brazil.

The green home shirt is completed with green shorts and socks which also feature gold trim. Palmeiras will first wear their 100th anniversary home kit for the first time on January 30th against Penapolense at the Pacaembu in the Campeonato Paulista.
