Portland Timbers Home Shirt 2011

Portland Timbers is a new American football club which will join the Major League Soccer from 2011. The club has recently launched its new home shirt which is manufactured by adidas.

The shirt features the team’s primary colours, ponderosa green and moss green which represent the state of Oregon’s forests. The shirt features the logo of club sponsor Alaska Airlines in the center part of the shirt.

  1. with their crest, it seems like they need something more… retro or something. this just doesn’t work.

  2. maybe yellow arms insted of white… or, just one type of green in the body and the other one in the arms..

  3. Apparently, it will be worn with either white or dark green shorts and dark green socks. The change kit will be red with whit shorts (Portland is known as Rose City).

  4. Really like the colors of the kit and everything about it, other than the white sleeves. They take away from everything else going on and seem out of place. That said, I’m not sure what I would have done with the sleeves instead, maybe the same shade green as the front and back have on their respective sides.

  5. All should understand the Adidas America HQ is in Portland, so a lot of work went into the design. And in comparison to many of the other kits in MLS, this is original and not just a template changed to have the team colors.

  6. love it. its bold and different. a nice change from the bland and uninspired umbro designs everyone seems to love of late.
