Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be the football game to own for your console this Christmas, officially announced on 18th June 2007. It is the next title in Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series, succeeding Pro Evo 6, this title does not follow the previous naming strategy and uses the year of release rather than being called Pro Evo 7. The game is released on Friday October 26th 2007.

This game engine has been rebuilt from the ground up this time round and featurss a new adaptive AI system called Teamvision, it learns and adapts according to an individual’s style of play. With this the game will have new ways to score goals and defend against specific plays, continuing the series tactical but flowing style of game play.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Windows and Nintendo DS. The Official Playstation Magazine has the first review out on September 28th, expect to hear a lot more about this game from then.

Cristiano Ronaldo features on the cover of the game, along with a variety of other players depending on the region the game is sold in, Didier Drogba is on the French cover, Gianluigi Buffon is on the Italian games front, Lucas Neill is on the Australian version and Michael Owen features on the front of the British game, which also has commentary provided by Jon Champion and Mark Lawrenson.

  1. i take that Harley you have never played PES. Anyone that has played both FIFA and PES knows that PES kicks FIFA’s ass. I used to love FIFA too but once i started on PES i never turned back. it is light years ahead of FIFA.

  2. sorry but im with Harley on this one fifa is miles btter than PES. The graphics are much better and dont get me started on the kits and team names OMG what is Man Red and London FC and just plain colours. Have you played the Fifa 08 demo i have it is amazing !!!!

  3. better graphics? well if its the fake names, kits etc on pro evo u just get the add on for the real teams and kits and you have all the official kits and teams.

  4. so what if the graphics are better? they’re just there to disguise the fact that the gameplay is crap.
    just like how pop singers dance to disguise the fact that pop songs are crap.

  5. pro evo , the best football game made for playstation and xbox , doesnt matter about the team and players names in some of the leagues , at least there in the game and u can freely edit it , pro evo will outsell fifa

  6. it has the best player in the world in the front cover in michieal owen but fifa is miles better

  7. if you like looking at fancy graphics then fifa is your game, if you want a decent game of football the pro everytime,
    if your not good enough to play pro then fifa is your game,
    if you really know your stuff about football games then pro everytime.

  8. its so good i mean god pro evo is da best…the 1st pro evo game i got was on ps1 8 yrs ago…iss pro evolution 2…i can still remember winnin div.1 with leeds on master league i had Nicolas Anelka and Henry upfront…we won every game 6-1 and 7-1 in 3 of em… and a brill 10-1 against Real Madrid

  9. that horrid time from sept to oct in which the build up of pes gets even bigger, i took a trip to the other side n bought FIFA….not being funny but fat guys done play football av seen more relistic football matches at the arcade roll on PES2008 where pinging a 40yarder from Gerrard never felt so good
