Puma and AC Milan Announce 2022/23 Away Shirt!
AC Milan is synonymous with red and black stripes, but white is the popular secondary look for the Rossoneri. Together with the club’s rich history of regional success, the iconic away colour gives form and substance to the Milan players’ 2022/23 Puma alternate shirt. AC Milan hopes to add the upcoming season to the number of times they paraded silverware wearing white kits.

The design is European Championship-inspired, and the base colour arguably is a bespoke choice. However, the fan-favourite 1984/85 secondary kit has the most influence on the makeup of the strip.
Milan reverts to white after applying a tinge of gold to the 2021/22 away. Red and black are the accent colours seen mainly as the half-and-half thin detailing on the sleeve cuffs, collar, and the horizontal pinstripes on the torso. A minimalist interpretation of the design of the 1984/85 shirt, the striping graphic does not extend fully to side-to-side, deviating from the retro kit’s hooped formation. Each stripe represents one of the club’s European titles, from its first time in 1963 in London’s Wembley to the most recent 2007 UCL Finals win in Athens. Puma ends the design with red for the logos and original colours for the crest, ensuring the corporate liveries subscribe to the chosen colour theme.
