Scotland ‘150 Years’ Kit Revealed

Reaching its sesquicentennial existence, Scotland football has seen it all. A history of highs and lows, the story of Scottish football involves not just the recognised names but also the academy players hoping to make it big someday. More importantly, it is about the Tartan Army, a symbol of the nation’s care and passion for the beautiful sport. As such, the SFA has revealed the special Scotland ‘150 Years’ kit for the national football team to celebrate the historical milestone. It’s a challenge to put such a rich narrative into one shirt, but timelessness of the design makes the kit live up to its background and story…

A shirt in navy colour, the jersey sparkles an elegant shade, complemented by the white round collar and the striped sleeve cuffs to complete the national colour look. The gloss of the tonal shoulder stripes simply underscores the class and sophistication the shirt is beaming of. The same monochrome and glossy look applies to the adidas performance logo, while the Scottish football logo adapts to the theme by applying a golden tone to the Lion Rampant against a navy crest backdrop.

With the kit, and the story of Scottish football over the years, we expect the fans to carry 2023 with enormous pride for their national representatives whenever and wherever they go on to compete.

The kit is expected to be debuted in the nation’s Euro qualifier against Spain and Cyprus next month, as well as their match against England this September. That match versus the Three Lions is surely a fitting occasion for the kit, as it pays tribute to two of the oldest football organisations in the world.
