Slovenia Fans & Players Choose Their Next Kit
Whereas most Nike international teams wear kits exclusively designed by the Swoosh brand, Slovenia takes a different route, giving its fans a voice in determining the makeup of its outfits. And choose is what they did as a 34% of the public vote joined 38% of the national team players in selecting the winning design (out of 11 entries) for both the home and away strips. A tweet by FA Slovenia dictates (translated to English), “…future Slovenia footballers will wear jerseys that they chose together with the fans.” It can never be a bad thing when you hear out the say of your supporters in the kits you wear.
In both white home and blue away shirts, the feature design is the central vertical band comprised of a repeating micro-diamond pattern punctuated around the middle area by an artistic outline of the Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia. The mountain has often been a key feature in many previous kit releases for Slovenia. The band formation gets a brief interruption afterwards to give space for the player number.

As Teamwear-based shirts, Slovenia’s kits add the graphic as a print rather than as an actual pattern of the weave, just like a sponsor logo would be applied. A simple round collar rounds off the look of both jerseys. You ca get to see Slovenia and their new kits in action as they participate in the UEFA Nations League from 1 June to 27 September against Sweden, Serbia and Norway.
