Stirling Albion Announce Macron Deal

Scottish Third Division club Stirling Albion have announced that they have reached a deal with Italian brand Macron to supply the club’s kits. The initial deal is set to run for three years.

The club also revealed the kit design for the 2013/14 season, also noting that the shirt will last for one season as the club has ambitious plans for 2014/15 and 2015/16 when it will be celebrating its 70th anniversary and thus a special commemorative return of an iconic strip from the past is due.

Stirling Albion also announced that Trust Members will be invited to vote for the design of the club’s away / change shirt for the next two seasons.

Operations Director, Stuart Brown, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have secured this deal with Macron. Over the past month, I’ve worked closely with Ray Pennock of Macron and I’m confident that we have a contract in place that provides excellent value for Stirling Albion. For our part, we will be doing everything we can to promote the Macron brand and I very much look forward to working with Ray and his Macron colleagues as we move forward in partnership.”

On behalf of Macron, Ray Pennock said: “We here at Macron Store Neath are proud and delighted that Stirling Albion FC have joined us in a three-year technical kit sponsorship deal, and in addition join the ever-growing list of professional football clubs in the UK.

“We are looking forward to working closely with Stuart and all connected with the Club to provide Stirling Albion FC with the image to match their ambition over the next three years, particularly in view of the club’s 70th Anniversary in the not too distant future. Following our discussions over recent weeks and months, Stirling Albion FC have been a real pleasure to deal with and the Club has shown me a great passion and desire for success and I am sure that we will build a very successful future together.”

    Well said Kermit. If West Ham had a template like this, sans the annoying over-sized marks on the sleeves, I would actually like them.

    Well obviouly, but you’d assume they’d have it on the promotional as well.

    @4 – That’ll be a ‘sponsor’ then….stupid.

    it will have a badge and sponer on it stupid

    They’re not even attempting to pretend it’s not teamwear; you’d think they would at least put their badge on it!

    As for their 70th birthday, I’d love to attend but unforunately I’m already going to the 32.8th anniversiry of football teams making a big thing about relatively insignificant anniversaries instead.

    That template is actually pretty decent whenu compare it to the garbage Villa & West Ham wear especially since the shoulder logos are not present.

    Well, that’s a definitive step up for Stirling, switching from Puma teamwear to Macron teamwear. While I have to admit that the toilet bowl and sponsor stickers are absolutely terrible, Macron brings better designs, and a slightly better quality of fabric to the table.

    Still would’ve been better if they went for an independent brand that’d supply them with a design specifically for them.
