Subtle Print Hides in New Real Madrid Release

History. Tradition. Unforgettable moments. Real Madrid and adidas unveiled the club’s 2022/23 home shirt with these words that reference the Bernabeu side’s involvement in multiple eventful football stories. The kit continues to mix things up with its traditional look as the Spanish champions constantly adapt their outfit with modern designs. It is interesting to note that the home jersey is part of the collection that celebrates the club’s 120th anniversary.

The upcoming season’s primary home outfit complements the timeless white base with a classy buttoned-up polo collar, perfect for a football team that embodies elegance and sophistication on the pitch. Purple shoulder stripes and the half-and-half black and purple edge outline of the collar provide the modern touches, even evoking memories of Real Madrid’s 2017 UCL Finals victory where the players wore a predominantly purple shirt. Prominently standing out on the front side are the black corporate liveries of kit maker adidas and sponsor Emirates Airlines, together with the Real Madrid crest in original colours, all positioned in a standard logo placement. Subtly embossed Madrid crests serve as an all-over pattern.

The last proper hit of purple came all the way back in the iconic 07/08 Teamgeist kit, this release has hints back to Real’s 16/17 shirt, this kit too has a touch of purple colour, although it was in a darker, understated tone, it also came with a collar.  That season, Real would win the Champions League in a purple away kit, now Los Blancos return to the Champions League final on May 28 as they attempt to add another title to their resume.
