  1. I hope adidas don’t give them the same template as Stoke for variety reasons, would be a little unimaginative if they did, though i can see it happening . . .

  2. Pretty short notice!
They’ll have to choose which kit they want from the teamwear catalogue pretty quick!

  3. Half of the team in the PL are sponsored by adidas….umbro, we will miss you so much 😔.

  4. go go black cats, am a nigerian and I tink am d only sunderland fan in nigeria as far as I know.

  5. Shame this, especially if its more teamwear which we know it will be. I personally prefer lots of different manufacturers for originality and think its sad that umbro will be gone from the EPL once City tie up with big brothers Nike after the end of next season.

  6. I get the impression adidas took more interest and care when they designed our (NUFC) kits then they will with Sunderland’s, who will probably look basically identical to Stoke City’s.

  7. Adidas produces some great leisure wear, tracksuits, coats etc. I would rather have a great adidas polo shirt in the summer and a top adidas team themed coat for winter. It’s not all about the ACTUAL kit these days.

  8. The end of Umbro in the Premier League?? Don’t forget about the mighty Saints my friend!

  9. How upsetting, I usually like Sunderland’s Umbro kits, can’t wait for them to have the exact same generic template as Stoke…

  10. As a Sunderland fan Il be happy if the kits arent generic templates, however Umbro has been great for us.

    Also…

@Charles…when did adidas ever care about Newcastle kits in recent years?? They gave them horrible templates and put a 10p sticker on the front for the Northern Rock logo.

  11. I apologise philwise, being a wolves fan i dont like to think of the latest promotions and relegations!!

How did you come to that conclusion Charles?Or are you just a mag having a cheap pop?

  13. Although I’m a Liverpool fan, tbh I’m sad that this has happened. I like umbro (Enland fan), as every kit they make for prem teams are unique (at least not standard teamwear like adidas do with stoke and wba). Only one umbro team next season, so I hope the kits r nice. I would love to see umbro liverpool kits after the warrior deal ends.

  14. Agree with matty above me. It’s a shame how umbro seem to be getting fazed out not only by prem clubs but by nike themselves.

  15. England still wear Umbro as do plenty of teams in Holland, Belgium, Spain (Bilbao) and France. So they’re not dead yet!
    I hate Nike.

  16. Umbro has one remaining team in the EPL (Man. City), and even that team will change for Nike from 13/14.

  17. u see umbro used to be kind of a specialty brand in football but now thanks to nike they’ve ruined it……adidas’ effort for stoke actually was pretty good to be honest and specially after seeing what they did for swansea for next season’s kits i think they might drop a decent shirt for the black cats……we’ll have too see!!

    GROW UP MAN!

  19. @el patriato.

I assume you will have been praising Umbro’s recent work under ownership of Nike?

However, it appears that Nike is taking over all of Umbro’s work and soon they will be faded out of the picture. Sadly for Sunderland fans, this will probably be the same as Stoke’s kit and WBA – if they still do theirs.

  20. @jarkko
i don’t really get ur question mate !! but anyway i think it’s a sad day for umbro gettin knocked outta the premier league, few yrs back they wear the dominatin brand in the PL but now even their parent co. nike is on the verge of completely vanishin the brand!! the prob is nowadays everythin’s bout the rivalry between nike and adidas and nothin else!!
