Turkey 2012/13 Nike Away Kit
The national football team of Turkey, nicknamed the Crescent-Star, currently ranks 25th in the latest FIFA rankings and forms part of the UEFA confederation. The country’s football team appeared in two World Cups, with their best performance being in 2002 when they finished 3rd. They also appeared in three European Championships where their best performance was in 2008 when they reached the semi-finals. The country’s biggest win was registered against Syria (7-0) and their biggest defeats of 8-0 were registered against Poland and twice against England.
This is the new away kit that Turkey will wear in 2012 and in 2013. Turkey will not be appearing in Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland as they failed to qualify for the tournament. The shirt is manufactured by Nike whose Swoosh appears in red on the right side of the chest. The base colour of the shirt is white, and it has a red crew-neck collar and a red horizontal stripe on the chest. Upon this latter stripe, the white crescent and star are placed. White shorts and socks complement this home shirt.
Thanks to Can Kerem Varol & Taylan Ege Cingoz and to @ozdemirmusta who pointed out we had home/away colours wrong way round, forgot about the change!
Originally from Malta and I love football. I appreciate the opportunity that this website gave me to start my career in football journalism. I’m a Man Utd fan and England supporter, and I watch football games mainly from England, Germany and Spain. I love to be informed about everything that is happening in the world of football.
i’m sorry but i really can’t see much difference from the last home shirt.
Yes indeed, there is not much difference. They only took the red bant higher.
But this design is the classic shirt of the Turkish National Team.
And i think it’s very important not to change the Classic shirt too much.
Respect to Nike, all National Kits they’ve brought up are amazing!!
Nice and smart.
Agree with the first comment. Can’t see the differences between the recent kit. Maybe the kit material is much better and more advanced i guess.
@ Hugh
The only noticeable difference between the two kits is the red collar this year. Yet another rip off by one of the major kit manufacturers.
class and cool *_*
i like this, simple kit.
i dont see this a a rip off, teams are always going to update kits kits with minor changes. This is the kind of kit a fan should buy, classic clean design, lifetime kit.
same as ever. But it is ok
I guessed it would be white with a horizontal stripe before i clicked the link
Absolute class!
Well actually this is home shirt.
No…red is home…last away kit was white and blue.
@Jarrko
White and blue?
No the last one was white and red.
They had a white/blue kit in 2008.
Another NIKE disappointment as far as I am concerned with most of their productions.
@bleed9
It was actually white and turqoise. because the color Turqoiuse originates from TURKquoise. since it was a signature color of the ottoman empire
awesome kit 🙂
