Vitesse 2013/14 Nike Home Kit

Vitesse is a Dutch club based in Arnhem and playing home games at the GelreDome, with a capacity of 25,000. The team plays in the top division in Holland, the Eredivise. They finished 4th in the 2012/13 league title race, and hence they enter the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League in the Third Qualifying Round. The team is owned by a Georgian businessman Merab Jordania, a retired footballer, making it the first Dutch club to be owned by a foreigner.

Vitesse 2013-14 Home Shirt

This is the new home kit to be worn by Vitesse for the 2013/14 season. The shirt has a black flapped collar. The body and sleeves of the shirt are striped vertically in yellow and black. The Nike Swoosh is white and placed on the right side of the chest. The year when the club was founded is placed on the left side of the chest, while the club crest is centralised. Until now, the club’s kits carry no sponsor logo.

  3. You can’t really go wrong with a Vitesse shirt. Good to see Nike is trying hard though. I’m looking forward to see the away. Last year’s bland grey kit was absolute garbage.

    Vitesse recently contracted an American marketing director who thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the stripes to boost the sales. The new shirts would be all yellow with a single black wide stripe down the middle. Rumours has it that they even ordered a container full. Until the fans found out and told him kindly to go #%@$ himself. Good to see they kept the stripes. For the moment…
