It took them more than 60 years to back at the world stage, and they’re finally here. Wales is about to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, building on their strong back-to-back Euro appearances in 2016 and 2021. Technical partner adidas has put out kits that are certain to make the Dragons recognisable once they step on the pitch. The fact that this is the nation’s first World Cup participation since their first-ever in 1958 should immediately put the shirts up there in Wales’ kit history. Nonetheless, the design could speak for themselves as it proudly shows the national colours on the world stage.
WALES ADIDAS HOME AND AWAY KITS
The 2022 World Cup adidas Wales home kit features a predominantly red shirt with a tonal zigzag pattern made prominent by a dazzling effect (emblematic of a fire-breathing dragon that encapsulates the spirit of the nation). The narrow round collar carries out a striped aesthetic in green and white, with the template should stripes and side trim applied in the former and latter, respectively.
On the other hand, the Wales away kit is mostly white, with the collar displaying the most notable design of the shirt. The said design shows a jagged zigzag visuals made out of the national colours of green, red and white, with the visuals repeated on the underarm panels toward the back. Red template shoulder stripes and green lateral trims complete the makeup of the jersey.
