FC Zurich 2021/22 Kits

FC Zurich are a Swiss football club who were founded in 1896. They won their first Super League title in 1902 before winning it again in 1924. However, the early years were largely unsuccessful for Zurich. Up until 1960, they largely interchanged between the top and second division before establishing themselves as one of the premier teams in Switzerland.

Between 1960 and 1981, the club underwent what's known as their golden years. During this period, the team won seven Swiss league titles and five Swiss cups. They also reached the semi finals of the European Championships in 1964 and 1977 where they lost to Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively. Nevertheless, the 80s and 90s proved very forgettable for the club as they once again fluctuated between the top and second division.

A rare bright spot arrived in 2000 as they won the Swiss Cup before winning it again in 2005. They were soon to regain their dominance over the Swiss league with consecutive league titles in 2006 and 2007 before a further success in 2009. Their most recent notable achievement came in the 09/10 Champions League.

The team qualified for the group stages where they were pitted against Real Madrid, AC Milan and Olympique Marseille. Apart from a 6-1 defeat to Marseille, the team competed very well and even achieved a win and a draw against AC Milan.
