Fernando Luiz Rosa known as Fernandinho is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Manchester City and Brazil. Fernandinho was born on the 4th of May 1985 in Londrina Brazil and he began his club career at Atletico Paranaense making his professional debut in 2002. The Brazilian made 72 appearances for the club scoring 14 goals before moving to Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Fernandinho moved to the club for roughly £7 million where in his first season at the club he played 34 matches scoring three goals. The player was pivotal in the centre of midfield at the club helping the side to six Ukrainian Premier League titles, four Ukrainian Cups, three Ukrainian Super Cups and the illustrious 2008-09 UEFA Cup. Fernandinho's was subsequently awarded the 2007-08 Golden Football of Ukraine Top Player of the Ukrainian Premier League and Shakhtar Donetsk Player of the Season.
Several European clubs were after Fernandinho in 2013 and he officially signed for English club Manchester City in June for a fee of £40 million signing a four year deal. The player wore the number seven shirt at Shakhtar Donetsk and he was given the number 25 shirt. He made his Premier League debut on the 19th of August 2013 against Newcastle United a 4-0 home win. The Brazilian looks to be a vital player for Manchester City in the next several seasons.
