Flamengo are a Brazilian football club most notably known for their red and black hooped shirts which are supplied by adidas. The club have won the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A on six occasions, one Copa Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil on two occasions.

2022/23 Flamengo Home Shirt
Flamengo’s 2022/23 adidas home was known for covering its hoop design in red and black with tonal red wavy lines. The inspiration behind the foreground elements was the waving of the flags by the supporters during match days. Plain black flowed through the sleeves and side panels, while additional red details followed on the sleeve cuffs and template shoulder stripes.

Bright and fresh, the Flamengo 2022/23 adidas away was predominantly white, with minor accents in black and red. A wavy embossed pattern cloaked itself within the clean application of the base and connected the alternate shirt to the theme of the primary one. The secondary colour details appeared on the v-collar and sleeve cuffs and their pipings (with the template shoulder stripes and logos going for red alone).
Flamengo were founded on the 15th of November 1895 as a rowing club the football team emerged when a group of unhappy players from Fluminense came to the club. At that time Flamengo did not have its own football team, but by 1911 it was officially created and recognised. The club have had several kit suppliers including adidas, Umbro, Nike and Olympikus.
Flamengo’s first official match was against Mangueira on May 3rd 1912 they won 15-2. In the same year they played their first derby match against Fluminense, which they lost 3-2, matches against Fluminense have gone on to become one of the most famous derbies in Brazil.
They play at the 103,022 capacity Maracana stadium are a nicknamed the Rubro-Negro (or Scarlet & blacks) after their team colours which are also Flamengo’s shirts. The home kit is a red and black hooped shirt, with white shorts and red socks. The away strip of Flamengo is a white shirt with single red and black horizontal stripes, with black shorts and white socks.
