Hamburg SV currently play in the German Bundesliga where they play their home games at the Imtech Arena which holds over 55,000 people. The club wear white home shirts with red shirts and blue socks with the shirts supplied by adidas and the squad boasts several world class players including Rafael van der Vaart, Marcell Jansen, Heiko Westermann, Rene Adler, Per Ciljan Skjelbred and Gojko Kacar.

Hamburger Sportverein or Hamburger SV which is also shortened to HSV were formed in 1887, they play their home games in the 55,000 capacity AOL Arena, Sylvester Allee 7, in Hamburg, Germany.

The club play a heated rivalry against FC ST. Pauli and Werder Bremen and the clubs major honours include the 1982-83 European Cup, 1976-77 European Cup Winners' Cup and over five Bundesliga titles.
