Kilmarnock, known as Killie, play their game in Scottish football, where they host their home games at the 15,000-capacity Rugby Park. The club has an official mascot representation in ‘Captain Conker,’ a character based on the squirrels of the team crest and the Boyd coats of arms.

For 2023/24, Kilmarnock’s traditional vertical striped home look were limited to the body and had a blue parallel pinstripe border on each side of the main blue stripes. The Hummel outfit left the raglan sleeves in white, allowing maximum visibility to the kit maker’s template shoulder chevrons, also in the same vibrant shade of blue as the one used for the bespoke design. Also in the same colour hue was the pop button collar, which had an offset dual parallel pinstriping in white and red (the former being a bit more prominent) along its edges. The collar and the said edge pinstriping extended downward along the button line. With such a stylish collar finish, the home kit paid tribute to the popular ‘AT Mays’ shirts from the ’90s.

Kilmarnock Home 2022/23 KitDesigned as a tribute to the 1994/95 and 1995/96 shirts, Killie’s Hummel home for 2022/23 was predominantly blue with widely-spaced white stripes on the front side. The collar featured a unique construction that broadened and overlapped towards the front end, accompanied by an offset singular white striping along the edge. Hummel-trademark chevrons in white appeared along the shoulders of the raglan sleeves, which ended with minimal white piping.

Kilmarnock Away 2022/23 KitOne of the uniforms that marked Kilmarnock’s 2022/23 Premiership season was its predominantly yellow away shirt. Keen to address the fans’ longing for an alternate strip in the said colour, the club used shades of Killie Yellow and Canary Yellow, incorporating both to produce a comb-like motif irregularly repeated on the front side. Like the primary shirt, the secondary outfit had the templated shoulder Hummel chevrons and the minimal sleeve opening piping, both in blue. The alternate jersey also used the same collar construction but added a half-and-half striping of navy and blue on the collar edge itself.

Kilmarnock Away 2021/22 KitKilmarnock FC played with a Hummel away shirt for the 2021/22 season. Paying homage to Alex Totten’s squad that made a trip to South Korea in 1995, the front of the jersey had a half-and-half split of navy shades as seen on the 1995 kit. Like the home shirt, the round collar had a solid fill on the front and two middle stripes on the rear, with red being the colour of the said collar striping.

Having been founded at the latter part of the 19th century, Kilmarnock joined those football clubs that were started by cricketers looking for a sport to occupy them during cricket’s off-season. In 1869, such event materialised for Kilmarnock when it was founded after a general meeting in Robertson’s Temperance Hotel on Portland Street. Following the rise of other Scottish football clubs in the 1860s, and taking their cue from Queen’s Park’s initiative, Kilmarnock opted in forming the Scottish Football Association.

Now associated with blue and white stripes, Kilmarnock kits actually started with an all-blue look. The design then morphed to a white and blue hoops, before settling in today’s vertically-oriented pattern. 2008 to 2014 represented a period in the club’s history when their kits were produced under their own sports brand, 1869.

In the Ayrshire Derby, Kilmarnock faces their biggest rival-their South Ayrshire neighbours Ayr United.
