Geoffrey Kondogbia is a French footballer of Central African descent and plays for Serie A giants Inter Milan and the France national football team. Kondogbia has a brother Evans called who plays for the Central African Republic. Playing as a centre defensive midfielder - Kondogbia is regarded as one of the best in the world in his position and is reflected through the player's transfer fee combination of over €55 million in total at just his young age.
Born on the 15th of February 1993 Kondogbia began his club career at RC Lens at the age of 11. He made his professional debut for the club against Lyon in November 2010. He scored his only official goal for the side on 13 April 2012, netting the opener in a 3Ã¢â‚¬â€œ0 success at Tours FC. On 24 July 2012, Kondogbia signed with Spanish club Sevilla FC for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of Ã¢â€šÂ¬3 million. He made his La Liga debut on 15 September, replacing goalscorer Piotr Trochowski in the 82nd minute of the 1Ã¢â‚¬â€œ0 defeat of reigning champions Real Madrid. He played just one season at the club before moving elsewhere.
In 31 August 2013 Kondogbia returned to his country, signing a five-year contract with newly promoted team AS Monaco FC worth $26.8 million. After one season with Monaco which included dazzling performances due to his renowned strength, tackling and blocking abilities Kondogbia was signed by Inter Milan for €35 million, making him one of the most sought after defensive players on the planet.
Having won the Under-20 FIFA World Cup with France Kondogbia is well respected in the France national team making his senior debut in August 2013 in a 0-0 draw against Belgium.
