Los Angeles Galaxy are an American soccer club who play in the MLS and they are one of the most successful teams in terms of MLS league titles won. The club has also attracted several big names to the club including David Beckham, Robbie Keane, Landon Donovan, Juan Pablo Angel, Abel Xavier and Christian Wilhelmsson.

In the Spring/Summer of 2007 the LA Galaxy will release new team shirts to enhance their global brand. The Los Angeles shirt is currently expected to be a dark blue or black colour and not the traditional gold and green that the team currently wears in the MLS. The new jerseys are expected to be seen for the first time worn by David Beckham when he officially joins the Los Angeles Galaxy. The first MLS team ever to record a profit in a season, the LA Galaxy also have the highest total attendances in the league. Fan groups following the LA Galaxy include the LA Riot Squad who try improve the atmosphere at Galaxy games and the UFO's who are a group of fans from the South Bay area of LA, members have been attending since the Los Angeles Galaxy's first ever game. Galaxy have won in their short American soccer history the MLS Cup, US Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup and Supporters' Shield.

Major League Soccer team the Los Angeles Galaxy were founded in 1995 and were one of the ten founding members of the American Soccer league that started in 1996. They initially played at the Rose Bowl until 2003 when they moved to the purpose built Home Depot Center, the 27,000 capacity venue is known to LA fans as Victoria Street.

Los Angeles shirt colours are gold and white. The biggest signing of Major League Soccer history was that of England's David Beckham to LA Galaxy worth a reported $50 million over a 5 year contract, for the start of the 2007 season.
