As for club's away shirts, the team largely wore a white shirt throughout the 20th century although yellow and green shirts became more popular on the road during the 80s and 90s.
In recent seasons black and white have been the dominant away colours. in the early to mid 2000s the club reverted back to yellow and green colourways. Their current supplier Warrior Sports designed a black, white and yellow away shirt for the 2012-13 season.

The 2015/16 Liverpool away shirt for their Premier League campaign took the form of a white design with red trim applications. Design wise, New Balance gave the Reds a rather classic template using a solid white base with red trim applications displayed as lines on the sleeve cuffs and on the rounded crew-neck collar which used a triangle at the base for an elegant touch.
The Liverpool 2014-15 away kit makes a return to a mustard yellow colour last seen in the 2006-07 season by adidas. The kit is completed with yellow shorts and socks which feature red trim on the upper front and sides of the shirt and shorts. The new shirt evokes memories of the club’s rich history, a shirt to support the club’s growth. A modern crew-neck collar is added while two embroidered eternal flames and the 96 logo are featured on the upper back of the shirt to commemorate the 1989 Hillsborough event. Liverpool’s main sponsor Standard Chartered has its logo on the front centre part of the shirts. The away kit is completed with black shorts and white socks with black trim.
