In 2023/24, the red home shirt of the club sported a clean base, almost getting to 100% in encapsulating the team’s ‘Reds’ monicker.

The rest of the shirt’s elements like the long crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs, as well as the front space and sleeve corporate liveries made up the white accents. It was a colour theme and cuff/collar dynamic that resembled the 1998 to 2000 Reebok kits, which in turn took inspiration from Reds’ uniforms during the 60s and 70s.

The most appealing of these white details from the shirt was the small ’97’ numbering positioned below the collar at the back side and flanked by flame symbols. It was a sign-off tribute to those who passed away in the Hillsborough incident.
